The color
Think smoke drifting through a field of dried lavender, the silvery haze of wisteria in winter light, the soft grey-violet of a storm cloud's underside just before rain. Purple Smoke Matte is a shade with restraint — its colour is there, clearly purple, but filtered through enough grey and mauve to feel polished rather than bold. In warm artificial light it softens to a dusty mauve; in cool daylight its violet register sharpens; in low light it deepens to a moody plum-grey.
